"Understanding that most of the game has nothing to do with kicking a ball is one step closer to understanding the game."

Coaching is one of those few adult experiences that blends the benefits of spending time with your kids when they want to be with you, getting to know their friends, meeting new people in the community, and sharing the fun that comes with sports. To be truly successful, a great coach must:
1) Love being around kids 2) Be fair minded and a little competitive 3) Be enthusiastic about all child development 4) Be able to communicate in a way that teaches 5) Understand the building process of learning anything 6) Understand the game as it pertains to the age group being coached.
FCAYS has programs designed to help with items 4, 5 and 6. You bring 1, 2 and 3 to the table. Together, our programs with your inspiration can create a great opportunity of fun, confidence building, friendships and athletic success for the kids you coach. For more information, click the "Coaches' Corner" on the menu to visit the skills training sites and the age group your child will be next season.
Become part of the action! Inquire with either your child's age group commissioner (visit "who to contact" page) or Thomas Kerr, FCAYS Director of Coaching. tkerrpa@gmail.com
Please note your interest, your child's age group and any experience you have with children in your correspondence. All coaching candidates are required to submit to the EKidsSafe child safety background check.
